In 2025, I was job hunting in Berlin. Like most job seekers, I knew I should tailor my CV for every role. And I was already using ChatGPT heavily to help with that.
But the workflow was still painful.
I kept copying job descriptions into chat, asking for tailored bullets, moving text back into my CV, fixing the wording, then fighting with formatting all over again. Every application became a loop of copy, paste, adjust, reformat, repeat.
Too much of that time went into moving text between tools and fixing layouts instead of thinking clearly about the role.

So I built a rough internal tool for myself.
The idea was simple: keep one strong "master CV", add a job description, and generate a tailored version that was already structured and ready to use. It was ugly at first, but it worked. Tailoring a CV started taking minutes instead of hours.
When friends asked to use it too, it became clear this was not just my problem.
